About this Product

FRAME NOT INCLUDED

“Dance Where You Are” is an original 8” by8”  acrylic painting that was inspired by the Lyle Lovett song “Private Conversation”.

This painting depicts two  pale yellow  star  shaped figures dance among dark  circles and multicolored dots on a teal and black background

“Dance Where You Are” is a reminder to take joy as you find it. All too often we delay our happiness until the time is “right”, but life is rarely perfect and one more thing always seems to pop up between us and claiming our joy.  Before we know it, life has passed us by without us ever doing the things our soul longs for.  “Dance Where You Are” tells us to stop waiting. Find joy right here, right now, and celebrate it.

This piece is painted on a back stapled canvas approximately ½ inch thick.

The painting continues around all 4 edges of the canvas so it can be hung as is, or you can have it framed to your liking.

Although the painting ships unframed, it will arrive with hanging hardware installed for your convenience.

The back is left open and unsealed to allow air flow.

Certificate of authenticity included with purchase.

Please be aware that due to differences in phone screens and monitors the colors may vary slightly from what is pictured.

See shop Terms and Conditions for details regarding returns.

The painting is sealed with 2 coats of acrylic varnish to protect from dust, dirt, and UV rays, however it is still best kept out of direct sunlight and in a smoke free environment.

Do not expose to extreme temperatures or high humidity.

Do not clean with abrasives, solvents, soaps, harsh chemicals or detergents.

If the painting must be cleaned, wipe surface and edges with plain water on a soft, non abrasive cloth only.

Do not soak or immerse in water.

Keep away from heat and open flame.

Hi!

My name is Leyna, and I paint music.

I was born with a condition called Duane's syndrome, which causes me to have double vision, no depth perception and very limited peripheral vision. So I don't see the world normally, but I do "see" shapes and colors in music and I base my paintings on those visions.

When I have paint left over after finishing a piece I use it to create bookmarks, keychains, jewelry, and other items in order to prevent the paint from going to waste.

Each piece is lovingly hand crafted with high attention to detail and every item in my shop is a unique piece that is truly one of a kind. No two items will ever be exactly the same.

At every step of the process extra measures are taken to increase the quality and durability of my products in order to provide the best possible value.

Thank you for visiting my shop. I hope you find something there that brings you joy.

How it’s Made

My art is created by layering multiple coats of paint. As the layers blend, they create rich, unique color and textures.
